Dog Age Calculator
Convert dog years to human years using the modern formula that varies by breed size β small, medium, large, and giant breeds.
How It Works
The old "multiply by 7" rule doesn't reflect how dogs actually age. Modern veterinary science shows that dogs mature rapidly in their first two years, then the aging rate varies significantly by breed size.
All dogs reach roughly 15 human years after their first year, and about 24 human years by age two. After that, each additional dog year adds 4 human years for small breeds, 5 for medium, 6 for large, and 7 for giant breeds.
This calculator uses these modern veterinary formulas to give you a much more accurate picture of your dog's age in human terms, along with their current life stage.
